Tai brings a 30 years of engineering experience to Switchee, where he works alongside Matthew to deliver firmware for our devices.
During his 14 years at Nokia, Tai partook in a range of projects that culminated in him becoming Principal Engineer. These included producing the first GPS mobile phone, the first 41-megapixel mobile phone camera and designing a test kit for mobile cameras that became the de facto standard. He also presented Nokia at the special interest group for the standardization for the camera interface.
Tai then developed algorithms for underwater imaging and gesture recognition during his time at TomTom as Expert Algorithm Engineer.
In total, Tai holds four international patents, one of which was used on all phones for GPS.
